I am the owner of Snowdrops Creche. I have 4 children under the age of 10. I worked for 8 years in the IT sector before changing to a career in Childcare. I opened Snowdrops in 2004 when my first son was one year old. I wanted to provide a childcare service that gives the best of both worlds, combining the structure of a crèche with the warmth and friendliness of a home. I have always wanted to work with children and when the opportunity came my way I decided to open Snowdrops Creche in Balbriggan. I am very fussy on the staff I hire and after long interview processes and reference checking I hire staff that I believe will love the children like their own. I am in the Creche every day to lend a hand where ever its needed. We all work brilliantly as a team and all staff are treated with the highest of respect. I am always available to talk to parents and we strive to always create a family atmosphere for children, parents and staff.

Frances (My Mum) is the Baby Room Minder, she is what the crèche is all about. She is a mother of 5, a grandmother of 10 and an adopted grandmother of all the children attending Snowdrops. Frances brings the kind, gentle approach to our baby room. She loves to hold the babies, take them for walks, feed them their bottles and cuddle them to sleep should this be required. You will see “Nanny Frances” on the morning shift and all the children love to come in to see her in the morning where she greets them with a warm smile and a bowl of their favourite cereal. Mam really is the essence of Snowdrops, kind, calm, loving and always sees the good no matter what. On a Thursday I get a day off cooking and the children enjoy the favourite dinner of the Creche “Nanny’s Stew”.
